Fire safety: Hydropower industry gains experience from Datacenter industry.

Sira-Kvina kraftselskap gains insights from Bulk Infrastructure – Inspects installed high-pressure water mist firefighting system delivered by Vinje Industri.

As a direct follow-up to Vinje Industri's Fire Safety Day, Sira-Kvina kraftselskap recently visited Bulk Infrastructure to gain valuable experience. Bulk has already installed an advanced high-pressure water mist system supplied by Vinje Industri, and this visit provided Sira-Kvina with a unique opportunity to see the installed system.

Fire safety is a key focus for both energy companies and data center operators, and high-pressure water mist firefighting system represents an effective solution for protecting critical infrastructure. During the visit, representatives from Sira-Kvina had the opportunity to see the system installed at Bulk, and test it to see the system's functionality, efficiency, and benefits in Vinje Industri's show container. They also gained insights into how Bulk has implemented the system for optimal safety and operations.  

"You really have to experience it yourself to understand how little water is actually used. The demonstration in the container was very useful – it’s impressive how effective such a small amount of water can be"

Tor Gunnar Austjord from Vinje Industri explains that the Fire Safety Days arranged by Vinje Industri aims to promote the sharing of experience and collaboration across industries. The fact that Sira-Kvina is now looking to Bulk for insights demonstrates the importance of such initiatives in strengthening fire safety in critical installations.
